ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND WELCOMES TO IRELAND'S 2013 GATHERING
In this year of Ireland's Gathering, an open invitation the likes of which the world has never seen, has been issued to 70 million people of Irish descent.

If you have Irish roots and have long cherished the idea of a visit to your ancestral homeland, now is the time.  Investigate genealogies, explore the villages of your ancestors and mingle with newly discovered kin.

Because of the magnitude of this event Fodors Travel Guide is promoting the Emerald Isle as one of the top places to visit in 2013.  Towns and small villages have all been encouraged to participate in the Gathering...and the Irish are enthused.

Do you have to be full-blooded Irish to participate in Ireland's Gathering?  Not at all.  If you have enough Irish in you to cover a leprechaun's toe, or even just a love of the Irish culture and its traditions, the locals are offering all comers one hundred thousand welcomes.

A 2013 visit to this green and glorious land is sure to satisfy all expectations.

I think you'd love it there. Maybe a media trip one day.
